Tiyamike Mulungu video taken in Bangula Malawi March 2011.
This was completely impromptu. i held the camera, and asked them to smile. They seemed to think i was waiting for them to settle down before i snapped the picture. Instead, what i captured was a brief, playful minute where these children were completely at ease. I love this video.
Remind your children constantly, through your words, that they are unlimited - that they can have anything, do anything, and be anything they want. Remind them to speak of what they want and to focus on that. When they say they don’t want something, ask them what they do want. Always bring them back to what they want. Embrace each of your children as the unique being that they are, and rejoice in their freedom to express themselves. Allow them to learn their own lessons, and know within yourself that everything is unfolding for them perfectly. The Secret: Daily Teachings http://www.thesecret.tv/apps (via kellyoptra)
can’t decide which #malawi orphans pic to use in #rotary presentation tomorrow. thoughts? Both are pretty special. Pics were taken in March while i was at TMC orphanages in Bangula Malawi.
Crossed off bucket list; straight razor shave in Nairobi (f1st time) best $3 i’ve spent in long time
in this pic, my hope hadn’t yet been crushed. Sure the sign said ‘tweet faster’. Sadly tho, wifi was non-existent.
